Teach at Coral.
No degree required.
We would rather train someone with the right instincts than hire someone with the right certificate. If you are calm with children, curious, and willing to be taught — the assessment below is how we find you.
Instincts we cannot teach, and skills we can
Everything in the second column is covered by our own Teachers Readiness Programme once you join.
Calm under pressure
A room of three-year-olds will test this daily. We are looking for someone who steadies a situation rather than escalating it.
You notice things
Good early-years teaching is mostly observation. Noticing what a child can nearly do is the whole job.
You can be taught
We give direct feedback and expect you to act on it. Defensiveness is the one thing training cannot fix.
You respect children
Children are people. If shouting, shaming or comparing feels like a tool to you, this is not the right place.
Curriculum knowledge
We train this — 80 hours across ten domains, from child development to observation and assessment.
Classroom practice
Planning, behaviour guidance, environment design and parent communication are all taught and mentored here.
What you get, and what we ask
What Coral offers
- Full training through our Teachers Readiness Programme
- Mentoring from a lead teacher, not just a handbook
- A curriculum designed and quality-assured by HEI Schools Finland
- Small groups, so you can actually know each child
- A team that does not shout at children, and will not shout at you
What we ask of you
- Turn up consistently — young children need predictable adults
- Take feedback and act on it
- Keep what you learn about families confidential
- Be willing to sit on the floor and get paint on your clothes
Show us how you would actually teach
Six sections, around 30 to 45 minutes. Mostly real classroom situations with no obviously correct answer. Answer as you genuinely would — we can tell, and we would rather find out now than in a classroom.
A word on how we use this: it is a screening tool, not a decision. It tells us who to invite for an observed session with real children, which is where hiring actually gets decided. Nothing here can verify who typed the answers, so please answer it yourself — the observed session will show us the same things anyway.
